Hi, I'm Emma Murphy...
and I am delighted to welcome to the first session of Eating Freely! I am so glad you have joined us, and are curious about how Eating Freely can help you change your relationship with food, your weight and your body image, FOREVER.
The theme of the first session is to Commit. Eating Freely is a very new concept for a lot of my clients, because so much of their lives has been taken up with ‘restricting’ – ie dieting, calorie counting, cutting out entire food groups, etc, OR feeling guilty about eating. So eating is rarely ‘free’ from negative emotions.
We ask you to Commit to doing something different, in the belief that you CAN have a different result. You will also get a helpful tool – the HALT Chart – that helps reduce episodes of emotional / binge eating straight away.
I hope you find this first session helpful, but more importantly my hope is that after this session you will feel more HOPEFUL. Change is possible, but it means doing things differently. Eating Freely shows you how to do just that, and we are with you every step of the way.
